The runway to November 19: a month-by-month plan for founding streamers

Under three months out. What a smart streamer does in September, October, and launch week — a concrete sequence, not a hype countdown.

The countdown on the homepage is under 90 days. That's not hype-cycle time anymore — that's preparation time, and it divides cleanly into three phases.

September: build the machine

  • Apply for a [founding streamer spot](/streamers) — review happens ahead of the board switching on, and founding placement is first-come-first-reviewed.
  • Set up both platform links on your PS5 — [Twitch](/guides/stream-gta6-from-ps5-to-twitch) and [YouTube](/guides/stream-gta6-from-ps5-to-youtube) — including YouTube's 24-hour live activation, which you do not want to discover in November.
  • Stream anything, twice. Two practice broadcasts with any game you own will surface every mic, overlay, and settings problem while fixing them costs nothing.

October: build the audience muscle

  • Clip weekly. Practice the [Create-button capture reflex](/guides/ps5-clips-without-a-capture-card) on whatever you're playing — the skill transfers directly, and posting clips keeps your accounts warm.
  • Pick your lane and say it. Blind story playthrough? Chaos-only? Completionist grind? Write the one-line description of your launch stream now; it becomes your title, your schedule post, and your pitch.
  • Announce your launch schedule in late October. Give the people who'd actually show up three weeks to plan around it.

Launch week: execute

  • Work the [launch-night checklist](/guides/gta6-launch-night-checklist) — preload, storage, day-one patch, titles written in advance, Do Not Disturb.
  • Keep [spoiler discipline](/guides/spoiler-safe-gta6-streaming) from stream one — the audience you keep in week three is the one you didn't spoil in week one.
  • Stream on a schedule through the whole window, not just night one. The launch audience sticks around for a month; be there when they are.

None of this requires money, an existing audience, or luck. It requires starting before everyone else does — which, if you're reading this in September, is exactly the position you're in.
